Getting started
What is Woplist?
Call control for Android. Turn unwanted calls away with one tap, and let the people who matter through.
How do I set it up?
Open Woplist, tap Authorize Woplist and choose it as your call-screening app. Then tap the power button. You can undo it any time in Android's default-apps settings.
Do I need an account?
No. You use Woplist as a Guest. Optional sign-in is planned for later.
Will it work on my phone?
Woplist is made for phones running Android 10 or newer.
When can I download it?
Woplist is in private beta. The public download will be on our download page.
Is there a dark mode?
Yes. Choose Light, Dark or System default in Settings.
Does it drain my battery?
No. Woplist only wakes briefly when a call comes in.
Calls and control
What does PAUSED mean?
Woplist would block calls but can't, usually because another app became your call-screening app. Calls ring normally until you set Woplist again.
What if I tap the power button during a schedule?
It applies straight away, until the schedule next changes. Your schedules stay as they are.
How long can Temporary mode last?
30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, until a time you pick, or until the next schedule change.
Which rule wins?
Temporary mode first, then a running schedule, then your default. If schedules overlap, the higher priority wins.
VIP contacts
Do VIPs ring when everything is blocked?
Yes, when the rule is VIPs only. Choose Block all when you want complete quiet.
My VIP isn't recognised. Why?
Check your Phone number region in Settings › Advanced. With it set, local and international formats of a number match, for example 07XX XXX XXX and +254 7XX XXX XXX.
Repeat callers
How does Repeat Caller Bypass work?
Turn it on in Home › Automations and choose when to let a caller through, from their 2nd to 5th call within 3 to 15 minutes. It's new and still in beta.
Woplisted calls
How long are Woplisted calls kept?
Up to 30 days, on your phone. You can delete them any time.
Will blocked calls show in my phone's call history?
That depends on your phone app. Many show them as rejected calls.
Permissions
Why does Woplist ask for contacts?
It's optional. It lets your rules cover saved contacts too, and shows names in Woplisted calls. Your contacts stay on your phone.
Why does Woplist ask for notifications?
Only for call alerts, if you turn them on.
Calls not blocked?
- Home shows ON.
- Woplist is your call-screening app in Android settings.
- Contacts access is on, if the call is from a saved contact.
- No other call blocker or Do Not Disturb is interfering.
